2-STOREY COFFEE-HOUSE INSPIRED RESIDENCE:
Our Next Big Construction Gig
This 2-Storey Residential Project, with a total construction floor area of 320 square meters, is situated in one of the golfing estates in Lipa City, Batangas.

A major challenge in the design was the rolling terrain leading towards the rear end of the property, thus we decided to put the structures on stilts to allow surface water to freely flow towards a creek at the back.

Structural members are made mostly of reinforced concrete with wide flange columns and beams that support larger spans to allow for a wider plan layout.

The owners were inspired by the design concept of popular coffee shops in the metro, so we played with materials such as concrete, wood and metal.

With the help of our friends from Likha Studio, the interior spaces of the residence were brought to life.
The kitchen was designed in light wood finishes with subtly colored tiles to add color to the browns and grays of the house interior.

This project is one of our favorite works up to date- definitely not perfect but quite fun for us both as the designer and builder.
With the construction team testing out our design theories and experimenting on different materials and construction techniques, we were able to build an interesting structure.
